Top 10 Best Crypto Paper Trading Platforms & Simulator

I’m not a crypto trader. I usually invest a portion of my earnings into cryptos, but the recent Bitcoin rally forced me to think about crypto trading.

Like any other skill, trading is also one of the skills that can be learned by practicing so the best way to practice a trading skill is using paper trading platforms where you don’t have to invest real money.

For the past couple of weeks, I’ve been using 10 different crypto paper trading platforms to better my trading skills without investing real money.

So, in this post, I’m going to share those 10 crypto paper trading platforms that help you to learn or better your trading skills.

1. TradingView.

tradingview website

My first choice to learn crypto trading is using Tradingview because of its simple and comprehensive charts.

Founded by a creator of charting software MultiCharts, TradingView focuses on simple, sleek, fast web-based charts for both crypto and traditional markets.

Not only chart, but the platform also lets you make your own trading ideas and share them with trading communities, allowing you to join the public chat with other traders or make your own private chats.

However, one downside of TradingView is it works only for Crypto: fiat pairs. (Ex: BTC: USD).

You can use TradingView for free until 30 days then you have to choose their Pro, Pro+, and Premium plans costing between $14.95 to $59.95.

2. Bitsgap.

Bitsgap demo account

Bitsgap is an automated crypto trading platform that also has features like crypto portfolio management and arbitrage trading.

For new traders, Bitsgap offers a demo account, AKA a paper trading account, with a balance of 1 BTC and 1000 USDT (Paper money).

With this paper money, you can start trading in 10 different crypto exchanges using Bitsgap trading tools like different trading bots to automate trading, trailing take profits, conditional stop limit, and many more.

But remember, any trading bot created using demo mode will be closed automatically after 30 days.

3. 3Commas.

3Commas doesn’t need any introduction, a famous non-custodial trade automation tool available on the market since 2017.

For beginner traders who don’t know much about trading and using automated trading bots, 3Commas offers paper trading options.

Using the paper trading option, you choose different coins and exchanges without any limit on the virtual amount.

To test your trading tactics or learn trading platform offers historical data and real-time price action within a controlled environment.

Moreover, 3Commas also provides automated bots, plus you can create, analyze and test other users’ crypto portfolios based on their past performance.

But do know that 3Commas paper trading is limited to up to 100 live Smart Trades or Bot deals combined per user.

4. Crypto Parrot.

Another beginner-friendly trading simulator.

The platform doesn’t offer any chart features. You just have to fill up the amounts to make a trade.

For making trades Crypto Parrot gives you $100,000 while signing up and you’re allowed to redeem anything you made on the initial 100k play dollars.

Other than crypto simulation the platform also conducts some competitions for traders and gives updates on the latest news in the crypto world.

5. Cryptohopper.

cryptohopper website

Created by two crypto enthusiastic brothers, Cryptohopper is not an exchange or paper trading platform like the above on the list. It is a crypto trading bot that let you create paper trading accounts to test their bot.

With their free plan you can create one crypto paper trading bot using one exchange also you can deposit up to 100k of any cryptocurrency that you want and experiment away with this free simulator.

Using Cryptohopper paper trading, you’ll get the real trading experience of using charts, different trading views, etc. Except that it connects to public data, not your own exchange account.

When I first log in their UI seems overwhelming. That’s why I suggest you follow their tutorial on paper trading if you’re a beginner.

6. BitMEX Testnet.

BitMEX is the biggest crypto margin trading exchange in the world, and they know how difficult and risky trading is for a beginner.

To solve the problem, they launched the BitMEX Testnet allowing traders to practice buying/selling cryptocurrency futures contracts with all the features of BitMEX such as leverage and other trading tools.

BitMEX treats BitMEX testnet as a separate entity so even if you have the account in BitMEX you have to create a new account in BitMEX testnet and the initial amount of demo XBT can replenish via the faucet.

As of now, the BitMEX testnet trading account is available in Chinese, English, Japanese, Russian, and Korean language.

7. Kraken Demo.

Kraken demo website

Kraken is a US-based well known exchange for crypto futures and margin trading that also offers demo accounts to learn or sharpen existing trading skills.

Their UI provides you with every tool to sharpen your trading skills. Also, you can create as much virtual money as you would like to practice your demo crypto trading.

Like BitMEX Kraken also treats demos as a separate entity but you don’t have to create a new account using your email; instead, the platform provides you with their own email and password to start demo trading.

Currently, the Kraken demo crypto trading platform is available in 10+ languages including, English, French, Spanish, & Japanese, to make it easy for aspiring crypto traders around the world.

The platform allows you to trade in 30 different cryptos providing $10,000 [customizable from $100 to $1M] while joining and you get limited buy orders, stop loss, take profit, and more advanced features for your trading strategies.

One thing I liked in CryptoSpaniard is their simple UI design including charts making it easy to do trading.

9. Bybit.

bybit testnet dashboard

Bybit is the emerging derivative crypto trading platform known for offering 100x leverage on BTC/USD and ETH/USD trading pairs.

For attracting newbie traders, they launched their own testnet, allowing paper trading on future and perpetual contracts.

The demo platform has a sleek, modern, and intuitive user interface like a real one having a trading view chart.

But I have faced problems with the faucet while depositing the amount to the demo account and setting up the account however for you it may be easy.

10. eToro.

etore website

eToro needs no introduction for traders.

This decade old platform revolutionized trading by introducing social trading where traders from all over the world post their trade ideas, chart analyses and sentiment on market directions and others follow the trade as you do on social networks.
