Top 5 Active Freelance Platforms That Pay You in Bitcoin [Updated]

In the internet world, Freelancing is the one authentic and best way to earn money by helping others using your skills.

There is a tone of platforms those let you create a profile with unique skills you have and shows your bio to the employer who needs your talent to finish their work, and they pay you in return, but most of these payment made through conventional methods such as bank wire, western union, and PayPal, which all had their challenges.

Now thanks to cryptocurrencies. As a Freelancer, you don’t have to worry about challenges that the conventional method has, you can easily use the cryptocurrencies as a payment method.

But most of famous well known Freelance platforms like Fivver, Upwork, Freelancer.in does not support crypto payments directly the employer have to use the other third-party platforms to pay you.

That’s why in this post I’m listing some platforms that pay in cryptos directly to your wallet.

1. CryptoGrind.

CryptoGrind website

CryptoGrind is like a Bitcoin Fivver where you can advertise your skills and wait for employers who are looking for workers like you.

The mastermind behind creating and managing this platform is Richard Macarthy, a professional developer based in the United Kingdom.

The platform allows you to showcase your different skills such as photo editing, software development, content writing, etc., to get hired by the employer who seeks the skillset what you posted.

For payments, Crypotgrind offer Multi-Signature Bitcoin escrow system for both you and employer which holds the payment until you finish the work then release it into your wallet address.

They charge 9% fee for the escrow transactions, but the platform is free to post jobs and submit proposals.

2. CryptoJobs.

CryptoJobs is a job board for employers who seek specific skillset employees to work.

This platform is more focused on the blockchain and crypto-related jobs.

Here you don’t need to provide full descriptions of your skills. Instead, the platform showcases the latest job posted by the employer and skillset required to do the job. You have to apply for the job with resume copy, a complete bio and mention skillsets you have if you’re interested in a job. Then, the employer selects a suitable employee from the application he received.

This is the best platform to work with an employer in a specific location.

BlockLancer website.

BlockLancer is a distributed autonomous job marketplace registered in Austria founded by  Michael Kaiser in 2017.

This platform built upon the Ethereum blockchain network and uses it’s own token LNC.

BlockLancer is work same as CryptoGrind, but the difference is, it is not controlled by any central authorities. Instead, the platform critical dispute handheld by the LNC token holders.

A major advantage of BlockLancer is you don’t need any ID or Bank details to signup and post your skills also it does not censor any job posts.

One drawback is BlockLancer does not pay in Bitcoin instead, you receive payments in Ethereum, or it’s own LNC token, but later you can convert it into Bitcoin on any crypto exchange.

4. BitGigs.

BitGigs website

BitGigs is another job board like CryptoJobs, but one difference is the platform allow both employer and freelancer to create a job gig.

The platform doesn’t have any clear background information’s their “About us” page shows blank only a video posted on their blog section in 2011, suggesting that the site is at least that old, and its many of its posts appear to be from this period.

But till now regularly new jobs posted that is the only sign I realise that the platform is still alive.

To applying any work that you find a suitable you have to send the application to the employer, and then the employer selects the best one from applications he received.

For showcasing your talent to get the work you have to post-gig by selecting the option selling and which category work you have to offer, one feature you’ll like in the platform is you can post a gig by hiding your name.

It seems the BitGig doesn’t have their own payment systems to handle payments so you can add your social media links to contact you also you can find an employer who pays you in Bitcoin easily.

5. r/Jobs4Bitcoins.

r/Jobs4Bitcoins is not the freelance platforms like above, it is a subreddit for employer and freelancer, looking to do job or hiring using Bitcoins.

This subreddit bigger than above platforms currently having more than 28.3K members moderated by Matthew Boyd and Silfax created on February 15, 2013.

However, you can use any third-party escrow service before beginning any work also you can use an escrow service built by Matthew, especially for Jobs4Bitcons members.
