The Bitcoin Cash hardfork is supposed to take place on November 15, 2018, that is just this week. The hardfork will take place around 4:40 PM UTC as an upgrade scheduled under their security and core protocol.
Coinbase & Binance were the first exchanges to announce the support for the hardfork.
And now two more digital assets exchanges have announced the support for the upcoming Bitcoin Cash hardfork. They are Kraken and Bitfinex, two of the largest exchanges in the world.
An announcement by Bitfinex:
Bitfinex will complete a full account snapshot of Bitcoin Cash balances at UNIX time 1542300000, i.e. 16:40 UTC, November 15th. Deposits and withdrawals of BCH will be suspended as of 15:30 (UTC), November 15th.
On the other hand, the popular crypto exchange Kraken is preparing its platform and users for the hardfork.
Kraken is a crypto exchange based in the United States and fully operational in Canada, Europe, Japan and the United States of America. Furthermore, it is also the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange in terms of Euro volume and liquidity.
Kraken will start following and supporting Bitcoin ABC which will be following the plan of expansion published by Bitcoin Cash.
On the day of the fork, the crypto exchange will make their Bitcoin Cash wallets specifically support Bitcoin ABC.
Almost every major exchange has announced the support for the Bitcoin Cash hardfork.
BitPay becomes the latest service provider to announce the support for the hardfork.
Furthermore, no alternative chain would be supported. Moreover, the crypto exchange will also analyze the results from the fork and act accordingly. The crypto exchange will disable funding 60 minutes before the fork happens.
